The Annual Report for 2007 is the first report by which the Public Revenue Office presents to the public one-year activities and achieved results in 2007. The report is a product of the modernization process of Public Revenue Office on which it was worked with height intensity last year. Such processes conditions in 2007 to realize significant results in all domains of the PRO operation.

Our determination is to build transparent public administration with qualified and professional tax servants at all levels. The degree to which citizens are convinced that the employees in the PRO respect the strict rules of ethical behavior has direct influence on “voluntary compliance of the tax regulations”. Transparency in working is a key for recognizing the activities and procedures of the Public Revenue Office in the public, that on the other side it influences increasing the interest and public expectations of the institution.

The Center for data processing means introducing new technologies and automation of channels through which services of taxpayers are delivered and providing balance between services to clients and expenditures for tax procedures. As integrative system the Center guarantee security, confidence of information for taxpayers and presents solution which at the same time expenditures are reduced for legal entities and natural persons by voluntary compliance of the tax obligations and expenditures of PRO by tax administrating.

From 23th to 25th of May 2007, delegation of Public Revenue Office led by the General Director of PRO, Mr. Goran Trajkovski, will stay on working meeting of Tax and Financial Control Administration of Hungary. The bilateral cooperation and the working meeting of the Hungarian Tax Administration is part of the Project – PRO modernization, which are realized in cooperation and technical support from FAD mission of International Monetary Fund.

Reorganization and modernization of audit service of PRO includes establishing modern principles of working based on the system of risk analyzes, which the final goal is increasing efficiency, reducing the “unexpectedly” controls i.e. pursuing inspectoral audit there where the highest risk indications exist.
