Residents of Republic of Macedonia who realize personal income from abroad, as well as persons who realizes personal income from diplomatic i.e. consular legations with seat in RM, for which the income payer did not calculate and pay the Personal Income Tax, they have obligation to calculate and pay the Personal Income Tax by themselves.

Public Revenue Office for the first time in 2008 awarded “Gold Card for VAT refund” to 37 companies, which in 2007 they fulfilled the determined criteria for getting Gold Card.

Within the framework of reinforcement the international cooperation with members of European Union, during the period from 17 to 19 of June 2008, at the invitation of PRO, in Macedonia stayed four persons delegation from tax administration of Republic of Hungary, led by the President of Tax and Financial Control Administration, Mr. Janos Sikora.

The Annual Report for 2007 is the first report by which the Public Revenue Office presents to the public one-year activities and achieved results in 2007. The report is a product of the modernization process of Public Revenue Office on which it was worked with height intensity last year. Such processes conditions in 2007 to realize significant results in all domains of the PRO operation.

Our determination is to build transparent public administration with qualified and professional tax servants at all levels. The degree to which citizens are convinced that the employees in the PRO respect the strict rules of ethical behavior has direct influence on “voluntary compliance of the tax regulations”. Transparency in working is a key for recognizing the activities and procedures of the Public Revenue Office in the public, that on the other side it influences increasing the interest and public expectations of the institution.
