Program on "Leadership and Management" – Would I follow me?
Do we need only to manage or to be a leader, is the main focus of the Program "Leadership and Management" which started to be implemented in the Public Revenue Office. The program aims to establish continuous training of the management in the tax administration and improve their management capabilities. Program “Leadership and Management” is realized within the Project "Support of Tax Reform”, financed by the European Union (IPA 2007) in cooperation with the Dutch project supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Regional blueprints exercse on taxation and customs
Skopje - From 9th till 20th May within the Public Revenue Office a Regional Blueprints Exercise on Taxation and Customs was organized, funded by the European Commission within the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance to the Western Balkans and Turkey (IPA). The overall objective of the Project is to evaluate the administrative capacity of the Public Revenue Office and Custom Administration of Republic of Macedonia by using the framework offered by the Fiscal and Customs Blueprints, published by the EC’s DG TAXUD.
Bilateral meeting of the tax officials from Macedonia and Kosovo
Skopje – From 21 to 22 of March 2011, the four member delegation of the Kosovo’s Tax Administration, headed by the Director Mr. Bedget Haliti is present in the premises of the Public Revenue Office. The main topic and interest of the bilateral meeting is the establishment of communication and the further steps of both Administrations, related to the announcement of the conclusion of International Agreement for avoiding double taxation or non-taxation between Macedonia and Kosovo.
The Public Revenue Office in organization and support by Resident Tax Advisor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Macedonia Mr. Georg Eysselein and the IMF Audit Advisor Mr. Richard Teed, from January 31 to February 4, 2011, realized the Workshop on subject: "Determining the risks, methods and techniques for audit in the construction industry. The aim of the workshop is implementation of good practices and experiences of the USA Tax Administration and European countries regarding the inspection of construction, as a specific industry of tax aspect.
The PRO commenced with the tax education of the youth
In order to achieve the preconditions for building of the social-conscious and conscientious taxpayers, the Public Revenue Office from December 2010 commenced with the implementation of the Project “Tax education of the youth” which will be conducted in the secondary schools across the country. Secondary school students, as a part of the young population, future students and academic citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, will have an opportunity to get a clear picture and vision what the tax represents and what is the benefit of the society from paying taxes...
