On Friday, 30 October was held an online meeting between the representatives of the World Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the management of the Public Revenue Office, to discuss the successfully conducted assesment mission of the Public Revenue Office by experts from the World Bank. The mission was conducted completely online during period May-August this year.
The World Bank experts conducted a comprehensive assessment of the tax administration using the Tax Diamond tool. The relative strengths of the Public Revenue Office and the opportunities for its improvement compared to the good international practices were evaluated and a basis for further work and plans for improvement of the business processes of the PRO was created. A total of 230 indicators provided a picture of the success of the Public Revenue Office based on summary measurements of operational performance, strategic vision, legal and regulatory framework.
In order to increase the administrative capacity, increase the quality standards and harmonize with the best practices, the Public Revenue Office will continue to actively cooperate with the World Bank.
