The 24th General Assembly of the Intra-European Tax Administration (IOTA) was held in the period 24-25 June 2020. Due to the health and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus Covid -19, this year the IOTA General Assembly was held online through a web platform.
The Assembly was attended by the Director of the Public Revenue Office Mrs. Sanja Lukarevska and the Head of the Sector for International Cooperation Mr. Marjan Mihajlovski.
The management of the tax administrations of 44 countries participating in this General Assembly adopted the basic documents of the organization and adopted the Annual Work Program for 2021, and selected the highest bodies of IOTA for 2020/2021.
On the General Assembly also it was discussed about the deepening of mutual cooperation for the purpose of sustainable and successful business functioning of the tax administrations during the post-crisis situation caused by the Covid-19 virus, support for tax administrations, how the tax administrations of IOTA member states responded to the Covid-19 challenge, lessons learned and what measures they have taken.
The next 25th General Assembly of the Intra-European Tax Administration (IOTA) will be chaired by the Tax Administration of Greece, where it will be held.
