Skopje - from 26-28 January 2012, high management representatives from the Albanian Tax Administration, led by the General Director Mr. Gazmir Spahija have been on a working visit in the premises of the Public Revenue Office.

The closeness of markets and no-borders for economic activities of companies, have imposed the need for permanent improvement of bilateral cooperation with the countries of region, especially neighboring countries.

In the past years, the cooperation between the Macedonian and Albanian tax authorities has been intensified through the creation of common policies and taking concrete operational measures for high-risk companies that gravitate in the markets of the two neighboring countries.

In this regard, during the three-day visit, the tax officers of Republic of Macedonia and Albania have agreed the next steps and directions of their common activities in relation to tax audits, which will be conducted in the forthcoming period.
