Skopje - From 9th till 20th May 2011 within the Public Revenue Office a Regional Blueprints Exercise on Taxation and Customs was organized, funded by the European Commission within the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance to the Western Balkans and Turkey (IPA).

The overall objective of the Project is to evaluate the administrative capacity of the Public Revenue Office and Custom Administration of Republic of Macedonia by using the framework offered by the Fiscal and Customs Blueprints, published by the EC’s DG TAXUD.

Within the frames of the Project led by the Consortium consists of the Italian Customs Agency (Agenzia delle Dogane), Sviluppo Globale DEIE, SOGEI and DMI associates, a team of experts under the leadership of Mr. Jesus Gayarre and Mr. Sydney Phelan, have visited and met the representatives of the Public Revenue Office in order to evaluate the current capacity of the macedonian tax administration, train PRO’s staff for future self-assessment exercises and determine priorities for further EU Assistance.
