In the period from 13 to 26 April 2010 it was realized working visit in the Public Revenue Office by the IMF Mission.

During the visit a Report was prepared by which it was noted the outstanding progress that the Public Revenue Office have achieved in particularly hard surrounding as a result of the global economic crisis. Especially is emphasized the implementation part of the Risk Management Strategy regarding the fulfillment of the tax obligations, as well as the realized spectrum of the structure reforms achieved in 2009 and at the beginning of 2010.

The Report also focused on the progress in relation to the Integrated Collection of social contributions and taxes which provided increasing of the revenues in the Budget of Republic of Macedonia, decreasing of the expenditures for the voluntary compliance of taxpayers and for the administrative expenses.

As strong PRO achievements were noted the new methods for External Audit, establishment of the National Contact Centre for taxpayers’ services, increased number of registered taxpayers and timely submission of tax returns.
