Promotion of PRO Tax Academy

SKOPJE - On 27th of November 2011, the Public Revenue Office promoted the Tax Academy. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mr. Zoran Stavreski and the Director of the Public Revenue Office Mr. Goran Trajkovski by signing the Charter of the Tax Academy symbolically opened the first class.
- The fact that the Tax Academy will conduct training to the neighboring countries shows that the reputation of the PRO in the international institutions and in the public is growing and that the credibility which has been built in the last years allows transforming into an institution that is the leader in quality in the region - estimated Mr.Stavreski.
The education through the Tax Academy will take place in four phases. In the first phase, the employees in the PRO will be educated, the second phase will involve other employees of the public administration dealing directly with the PRO, while the third phase will include private and other state entities which activity is related to the PRO. The fourth phase of the Tax Academy that should begin in mid 2013 is a Regional Tax Academy aimed at training the Tax Administrations of the South-Eastern European countries and is expected to contribute for reduction of tax evasion at the regional level.
- We will offer the best quality and free training for all interested. Except for the PRO employees, on November 30 there will be training for the staff of the Customs Administration as well. The functioning of the Tax Academy is funded completely by the PRO - emphasized the Director Mr.Trajkovski.
