BITOLA – Within the framework of the intensive international cooperation established between the tax authorities of Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Albania from 8 to 11 December 2009 in Bitola was held a meeting with representatives of the Albanian Tax Administration.

Besides the highest management of both Tax Administration the Director Mr. Goran Trajkovski and the Director Mr. Artur Papajani, on the meeting took part representatives from the General Directorates of both Tax Administrations as well as representatives from the Regional Offices Bitola and Elbasan.

During the three day visit, the tax officials from the Albanian Regional Office-Elbasan had a possibility to get acquainted with the work of the colleagues from PRO Regional Office-Bitola and to exchange experiences and information in the part of leading tax procedures, and at the same time to build a bridge for further cooperation between the Regional Offices.

Within the framework of the meeting, the representatives of Elbasan had a possibility to visit the newly open Service Point of PRO in Vevcani.

The main goal of the meeting was establishing closer cooperation and exchanging experiences in both Regional Offices in the part of:

• Organization and functioning of the Regional Offices
• Establishing standards for performance measurement in PRO
• Tax Audit of taxpayers
• Taxpayers Services
• Official registration of taxpayers
• Enforced Collection of taxes
